In the B.A. in film and television program at Lynn University, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art technology in all aspects of filmmaking and television ... from pre-production to production, and right on through to post-production, too.
As a film studies major at Lynn, you’ll learn all aspects of film and television, including writing, casting and sound recording. You’ll shoot in high definition with 3D and 360 degree cameras, and you’ll use advanced editing software and motion graphics to make your films come alive.
All along, you’ll work in an environment that duplicates significant aspects of lm and television industries. Even your professors will be straight from the eld, teaching from personal experience with networks including ABC.

Film and television curriculum
The film and television program focuses on the creative, technical and theoretical study of cinema, television and video media. Learn critical pre-production and post-production skills, such as screenwriting, shot selection, cinematography, casting and actor collaboration.
COM 130 Film Appreciation
Study cinema as an art form, a craft and as a major commercial industry. Learn language and grammar of cinema, narrative structure, stylistic techniques and the basics of film criticism.
COM 140 Audio Production
Introduction to sound (voice, music, sound effects) in radio, television, digital media and motion pictures. An overview of technology and its use in audio
recording and editing.
COM 227 Videography
Examine the basic elements of pre-visualization and videography techniques that are applied in a variety of production platforms. Focus on creative storytelling through image composition, camera movement, editing, sound, lighting and on-air performance.
Graduates must complete a total of 120 credits.
