Preparatory School of Music

The Preparatory School of Music is a division of Lynn’s world-renowned Conservatory of Music. This preparatory program offers the highest quality music instruction to young people and adults who are interested in making music an important part of their lives. Students who are preparing for a career in music can study alongside the conservatory’s acclaimed artist faculty. Meanwhile, preparatory students who are just beginning their studies learn from the conservatory's outstanding student musicians.

Preparatory lessons

  • Strings–violin, viola, cello, double bass
  • Woodwinds–flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon
  • Brass–French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba
  • Percussion
  • Piano (classical and jazz with group lessons available)
